3. Basic Operation Steps
1 Power on the PM880 transmitter and wait for the self-test to complete (approx. 30 seconds).
2 Access the configuration menu by pressing the “MENU” button on the front panel.
3 Enter pipe parameters (material, diameter, wall thickness) and fluid properties (temperature, type).
4 Calibrate the sensor alignment using the “CALIBRATE” function to ensure optimal signal strength.
5 Save configuration and exit to the main display to view real-time flow rate and totalized values.
Important Notes
  • Ensure the sensor is installed on a straight pipe section (minimum 10D upstream, 5D downstream) to avoid flow disturbance.
  • Regularly check signal strength (minimum 25 dB recommended) to maintain measurement accuracy.
  • Do not expose the transmitter to extreme voltage fluctuations; use a surge protector if necessary.
  • Calibration should be performed annually or after any major pipe modification.

3. Installation Requirements
The PSI63C0.728-L1 module must be installed in a closed control cabinet with proper cooling to ensure stable operation under industrial conditions. Ensure the following during installation:
