HIMA SB3073-EX is a temperature – transmitting isolation safety barrier. The following is a detailed introduction:
- Basic Function1: It can convert the output signal of the temperature – sensing element installed in the hazardous area into a (4 – 20)mA or (1 – 5)V signal and transmit it to the safe area in an isolated manner. Users can customize the supported signal types and range within the maximum signal range.
- Applicable Hazardous Areas1: When the on – site equipment is properly certified, it can be used in hazardous areas of Zone 0, Group ⅡC, and Temperature Classes T4 – T6.
- Supported Signal Types1: It supports mV signals, J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N – type thermocouple signals (1990 International Temperature Scale, IEC584), and Pt100, Cu50 thermal resistance signals (1990 International Temperature Scale, BS1904/DIN43760).
- Signal Range1: The input range is (-75 – 75)mV or (0 – 450)Ω, and the signal range can be (3 – 150)mV or (10 – 450)Ω.
- Accuracy1: At 20℃, including non – linearity, repeatability, and hysteresis, the input – end accuracy is ±15μV or ±0.05% of the input value (whichever is larger) for mV/THC, and ±80mΩ for RTD. The output – end accuracy is ±11μA.
- Temperature Drift1: The temperature drift of the input – end is ±0.003%/℃ of the input value for mV/THC and ±7mΩ/℃ for RTD, and the output – end is ±1.0μA/℃.
- Output Signal Drive Capability1: The output signal drive capability is (0 – 550)Ω.
- Power Supply Requirements1: The power supply voltage is (20 – 35)VDC. When the output is 20mA, the current is 44mA (20V power supply), 40mA (24V power supply), and 32mA (35V power supply), and the power is 1W (24V power supply, 20mA output).
- Isolation Principle4: The SB3000 – Ex series isolation barriers, including SB3073 – Ex, use isolation technologies such as optical, electrical, and magnetic isolation to isolate the power supply, input – end signal, and output – end signal in pairs, realizing isolated signal transmission between field devices and control systems, and serving as an isolation interface unit between field devices and control room devices. It is designed according to GB3836.4 – 2000, meets the intrinsic safety explosion – proof requirements, and can limit the fault energy flowing to the hazardous area to ensure the safety of electrical equipment and personnel in the hazardous area.
