The VORTEC 701-15H-BSP is a Panel Guard enclosure cooler designed to provide efficient cooling for electrical enclosures and control panels. It enhances the benefits of vortex coolers by incorporating a mechanical thermostat for optimum temperature control without the need for wiring. Unlike standard vortex coolers that utilize an electrical thermostat with a solenoid, this model offers simplified installation and operation.

Key Features:
- Thermostatically-controlled to maintain ±3°F temperature stability
- Powered by compressed air, no freon or other refrigerants required
- Exceptionally reliable with no moving parts to break or wear
- Low maintenance design
- Maintains NEMA 4, 4X, and 12 ratings
- UL-listed for safety and performance

Operating Principle
The VORTEC 701-15H-BSP utilizes vortex tube technology to generate cold air from compressed air. The vortex tube’s cylindrical generator causes input compressed air to rotate at speeds up to 1,000,000 RPM as it is forced down the inner walls of the hot end of the vortex tube. A small portion of this air exits through a needle valve as hot air exhaust, while the remaining air is forced back through the center at a slower speed. Heat from the slower moving air is transferred to the faster moving incoming air, creating super-cooled air that flows through the center and exits through the cold air exhaust port.
Typical Applications
Electrical Enclosures
Cooling of control panels, switchgear, and electrical cabinets in industrial environments
